Before first use:
Wash your cutlery with mild detergent under tap water.
We don't recommend the use of a dishwasher for Outlery.
How to clean on-the-go?
After using your Outlery, simply rinse/dip in water and wipe clean with a napkin.
How to clean at home?
We recommend giving your Outlery a good wash every weekend. Wash the cutlery with a mild detergent under tap water. We suggest sterilizing the silicone tray in boiling water to remove oils, food odor and bacteria.
Pair it up with ...
I received one of these for Christmas and finally got to use it at work. It's great that I don't have to waste plastic forks and spoons anymore, and have a dedicated set that easy to use and works wonderful. I'm planning on getting these for fellow workmates to spread the joy of Outlery.
I was a backer and from the beginning, a couple sets and shared/gifted. Just got my Junior set - love it too! More gifts!
Everything about this set is classy and practical. Let's face it...no matter how good an idea something is, it's worthless if it's inconvenient to use and we leave it at home. This little kit solves that problem by being small enough to slip in a pocket. I haven't got my telescoping straw yet, but it appears to fit in the kit along with the other utensils.
This being said, what's needed now is an equally user friendly re-usable replacement for those environmentally abhorrent take-out cups. While the cups themselves are usually made from waxed paper, the snap on lids that hold the straw and prevent spilling are single use plastic. Re-usable cups in the standard large take out size are readily available (I have a pair of stainless steel ones in my truck that have a watertight screw on lid and came with their own stainless steel straw) but what I've yet to find is something with the "out and about" convenience of the Outlery utensil set. I'm thinking a silicon collapsible cup in the standard size with integrated lid. Hint hint, Outlery folks ^.^
